Long exposure with the Canon 5D Mark IV

The other day I mentioned that I have a loan of the Canon 5D Mark IV and the 16-35mm 2.8 lens. I am trying them out with long exposures to see what I think. I am always on the look out for new gear to see what I can do with it, and, of course, I am looking around for a new camera to do long exposure photography with.

I took the Canon into the city last week to do some night photography, but before hand I went to do some long exposures around the water. It was good weather for it, until the sun started shining on the buildings. I have one image for you today that I took. I like it, but think I would like to do it again another time. It is Southbank from the city side of the Yarra River, looking over the Evan Walker bridge.

I have to get Monochrome Madness ready today, and work on a new article. I hope you have a great day.

  1. That’s a beautiful skyline shot. Enjoy using the Canon for awhile. BTW, did you get to see the lunar eclipse at sunrise on your side of the world?

    1. Thank you David, I am enjoying using the Canon. No, I don’t think the eclipse had any effects here. We really don’t ever seem to get them.
