However, this one comes with another something extra, or potentially, the wonderful people at Formatt Hitech have given me one of their kits, the Revised Travel Filter Kit, Elia Locardi Signature Edition, for someone to win. So for your chance to get a special Christmas Gift leave a comment telling me why you would like to win it. The competition will end at the end of this year.

  1. I would love to win this travel filter kit because I love to travel whenever I can muster the funds but this comes at the expense of not being able to afford upgrades for my hobby-photography-this prize will allow me to continue doing both things I love.

  2. I’d love to win these filters because I really think it could improve the quality of my photography quite extensively. I am quite frugal when it comes to equipment, so this would definitely help.

  3. The Elia Locardi Signature Edition, Revised Travel Filter Kit would be be an awesome gift to inspire my creative urges and help create unique, moving images, which I can share with the world. Thanks Leanne.

Winning this amazing prize would truly be a perfect start, as it has everything I need! As a new photographer, this would well and truly be the prize that can assist me in becoming the best photographer I can be!

I would love to win the filter kit but I would rather you give it to someone who needs it most, the photo that you let us download is more than enough.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

  6. Live a great life and the photos will come. That’s my photography motto. This kit would help me enhance the quality of my photos while maintaining their integrity. Travel on 🤘🏼🤘🏼

  7. Hi Leanne, long time reader first time poster here. My sister has just enrolled in a graphic design degree and she loves photography. Would love to give this to her to kick-start her studies!

  8. It is a wonderful gift your offering…all my camera’s have been hand me downs and I can not afford to purchase any fancy additions so it would be wonderful to win something new to help me improve my photo’s! Merry X-mas Leanne from Port Alberni, BC, Canada! 🙂

  9. 2017 looks to be a year of a fair bit of travel for me, I’d love to win to get the opportunity to take some amazing travel shots!

  10. My brother loves photography and is an amateur photographer. This would be a great late Christmas present for him.

  11. I would like to win so I can take more dramatic and stunning photos

  12. I love this image, Leanne. Thanks for the gift of it.

I love outdoor photography especially photos of waterfalls. One thing that has held me back is the lack of filters. I have one filter for my Tokina 11-66mm f/2.8 but none for my other lenses.

My current filter can only fit one size of lens. With the Elia Locardi Signature Edition adapters and filters ring means I would not be limited and could take photos with every lens I own now or in the future.

    Merry Christmas.

  13. Hi Leanne, I’d like to win the kit. Although I already have one of the discontinued fibre filters, I’m eager to get it. My fibre filter has a strong blue color shift in it. It’s hard to correct in post-production. So, I’d like to replace it.

  14. Hey, Leanne. I would love to have a shot at winning the filter so I could create better stories with my camera. As every photographer knows, filters and light can make a big difference to the way a shot turns out. It would be great to be able to experiment and share the good looking pictures on my travel blog https://pixelvoyages.com

  15. Looking to expanding my photography skills in 2017 and the filter kit would be a great addition to my kit.

  16. Leanne, Merry Christmas to you and your family.

It’s been a pleasure getting to know you through your posts and in person. You are one of the very few photographers that I faithfully follow. Your photography is so very distinctive that I recognize it before even seeing your signature. You have indeed developed a great visual brand. I know how hard you have worked to achieve this.

I know the foundation of good photography doesn’t rest on equipment. It’s interesting to note that in his early days of photography, Ansel Adams used a simple Kodak box camera, yet he turned out what most photographers acknowledge as masterpieces. However, the right equipment does aid in capturing that image in the way you want it portrayed. Because of your example, I have done some limited long exposure work. I am pleased with the results and my best outcome comes when using my Formatt Hitech 16 stop filter. I would be honoured to receive their Elia Locardi Signature Edition. I’m sure it would be a fantastic addition to my equipment.

  17. This is so generous of you, to share your art. The photograph is superb, that glowing light amid the somber sky. Once I’m on a computer, I will definitely grab a copy. Thank you!

So I may as well enter the contest, I guess (I don’t think the post prohibited international entries but if it did ignore me). I actually would love to win the kit because I don’t own any filters at present, having lost my wallet of ND filters in one of our many house moves in 2013-14. Since I’m an amateur photographer, just documenting family life and personal travels, I’ve not been able to justify building up my collection of filters again.

Merry Christmas, Leanne! Have a wonderful festive season.
