Wow, what a week, it has been quite amazing, in many ways, but perhaps I should just tell you about it.

Dynamic Range Magazine

The work is about to start on the next issue. There is little time between when the work on one finishes and the work on the next starts. I have to admit I have been a bit distracted from it recently, but I will tell you more on that soon.six-seasons-cover

Don’t forget if you think the magazine is a great thing and want to support it, buy a copy, or better yet subscribe. Follow the link at the top that says Shop.

Six Seasons of My Backyard

Well it is almost done now, really, I can’t believe it. We have done all the work on it and it is ready to be published. we also have a cover for it. I’m putting it up here for you to see. I love it and I hope you do too.

With luck it will be ready for people to buy in about two weeks.

I’m excited.

printMOR Australia

I have found a new place to get images printed, printMOR Australia. Mike printed a couple of my images onto

canvas. It is not something I had really thought about doing before, but they came out great.

It has got me thinking about how wonderful the macro image came out. I am thinking of putting together a page of macro images that can be printed on canvas for around $400. I will let you know when I have the page ready for you.

If you would like to check out what Mike offers then please visit his website, click printMOR Australia.

Wine Country Camera

This is a new company that a friend has set up in the US. He is selling a new filter holder for ND Filters that will hold both ND filters and graduated ones. It looks like a great system and has taken into consideration the problems likw light leakage.

There are always hassles with filters, specially ones that are very dark, the 10 stop and longer ones. Having to take them off and on every time you want to take a photo is annoying, so a system that makes that easy is good and this holder does make it easier.

They are not quite ready for sale yet, but the company is taking pre-orders, take a look, here is the link, Wine Country Camera.

Photos

I realised the other day that it has been a year since my trip to the USA and this time twelve months ago I was in California, so I am going to put up some of the photos from there.  I hope you either enjoy seeing them for the first time, or enjoy seeing them again.

When I went to the US last year I was loaned some gear from Nikon Australia and part of the deal was that I would allow them to interview me when I returned. The interview was published this month and if you have an iPad or iPhone you can access it via iTunes, but if you are one of the many 80% of people who don’t have those and instead have android, I thought I would give you a link to the interview of me.

You can click on my name here LeanneCole or the image below to get access to the interview.

It is interesting reading it now, as the interview was done very soon after my return. It is almost like a nice reminder of it and how I felt when I got back.

Though I have to say that it isn’t edited very well and I had nothing to do with that. The interview was done on the phone. There are links to things in it and unforunately you can’t click on those.

I only have android so I haven’t been able to see the magazine it was in, or click on the links, which is a shame.  Anyway I hope you enjoy it.

Some decisions have been made recently and one of them is to do my posts on two blogs. This one and the main one I’ve always used. I would like this one to become my main blog, and in time I hope everyone will find their way here.

Some other changes are going to happen as well. I plan on cutting down on how often I blog. I think I will go to four times a week, and see how that goes. I need to find some time to do some other things, which I am excited about. My posts on Friday are going to combine my Bits and Bobs post as well as looking at images I have put up on Social Media.

Social Media

Social Media seems to be a very important aspect for any photographer these days. With that in mind I’ve been trying to use it a lot more and putting more photos on certain platforms. I have been building up Instagram and trying to put one or two photos up there each day. It has been good going through all my older images and seeing what I can put up. I have also worked on some new images. I really like how my Instagram account is looking. I hope you enjoy the new and old photos.

Dynamic Range Magazine

There have been some people who have asked that I show some images of what the inside of the magazine looks like. Here are four samples of pages that can be found in the latest edition. If you haven’t got your copy yet then here is the link.
