Long Exposure Workshop – St Kilda Pier

St Kilda Pier is another landmark of Melbourne that is popular to take photos of. It is a great place to take photos and see how long exposures can help get remove people from scenes.

This workshop is perfect for people who want to learn how to use the filters they have, or try out long exposure before purchasing their own gear.  I have Formatt Hitech filters and holders for people to use as they learn how to do this type of photography.

Long Exposure Workshop – Victoria Harbour, Docklands

Down at Victoria Harbour are lots of pier like structures and they are fantastic for doing long exposures. If we are lucky we will get a cloudy sky to make our long exposures perfect. Depending on the conditions, we may hang around for the sunset as well.

This workshop is perfect for people who want to learn how to use the filters they have, or try out long exposure before purchasing their own gear.  I have Formatt Hitech filters and holders for people to use as they learn how to do this type of photography.

Night Photography along Southbank

An evening of photographing Melbourne city from the other side of the river. You can explore taking photos that are longer than 30 seconds, but without filters. If it’s raining we will do reflections from the wet surfaces.

This is a great class for anyone who wants to improve their night photography, people who want to them but don’t like going out on their own.

Terms and Conditions

  • For all the workshops you need to have a camera that you can control aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The camera should have a Bulb setting.
  • You should know how to use your camera. If you don’t know, I will set it up, but I won’t have time to teach you how to do it.
  • You will need a very sturdy tripod.
  • A remote shutter device, either an intervalometer or something else that will allow you to open the shutter for longer than 30 seconds.
  • If you are using a DSLR you will need the cover that will stop light entering through your viewfinder. Check your camera strap or the box that it came in.

You will be given payment options in the email.

Cancellation

You may not cancel within 7 days of the workshop, before that you will get a full refund.

If the weather is terrible and the workshop has to cancelled, you will be offered another date or refund.
