Catching you up on some things

Catching you up on some things

It has been a while since I did a post like this, but it is time for catching you on some things that I’ve been doing. A lot has been happening.

Catching you up on some things

As I just said a lot has been going on. Whether I want to or not, I do have to get back to the business side of stuff, but I want to do it in a way that I enjoy. I need to do it in a way where I am an artist as well. Sometimes I think I label myself as a photographer too much and really I’m an artist first. Photography is just the medium I use to express myself.

Shall we get on with it?

Red Gallery

This is something I’m so excited about. I’ve been accepted for a solo show in 2020.

The show will be called “The Silent City”.

That goes really well with my work. Now I will have to get out and start taking some photos that will fit that theme. The exhibition isn’t until October in 2020 so I do have a lot of time to prepare.

There will be more on this as time goes. However, the following image is probably the one most likely to be used to advertise it.

Formatt Hitech

The sale for the filters is still on, though time is running out and if you want to take advantage of the 20% deal, then use the following code.

LCOLE20

The sale ends at the end of this week. Go to Formatt Hitech.

Here is an image from my recent trip to the Great Ocean Road. It was taken with the Formatt Hitech Firecrest Ultra 10 Stop ND filter.

Textures

This is something I want to try. Selling texture packs that is. I played around with it a bit and ON1 was selling some for me, but I think I stuffed up that relationship. Perhaps I can see if I can save it. I did enjoy working with them. They have a new release of their software coming up.

Anyway, getting back to the textures, I’ve been going through all the ones I have. I love textures. They are good to collect and also make. Planning what to make is fun. So the plan is to start curating them and getting them ready to sell.

Where I will sell them is the next question. If I can work out how to do it, I will try and do it on this site. When I was doing the magazine I sold it through this site, but that was a few years ago. I have to work out if I can still do that.

Here are a couple of images I played with using salt textures.

That’s enough

Well, I think that is enough for today, it is catching you up with what I’ve been doing. Time to get back to Pinterest and my textures.

Take care everyone.

    1. Thank you Nora, Etsy is here too, but I don’t know that it is that good for selling things like this, but could be worth a try.
