I have my absolute favourite flowers, and then I have others that I love and want to photograph. I think Rudbeckias or cone flowers are somewhere in the middle. I have been trying to grown them on and off for many years, and this is the first year that I have had a spectacular show of them.
I have been sending photos to my mum and my daughter to show them. The last three photos are from my phone and I’ve done nothing with them. The first 3 you have seen before, one last week and the others maybe years ago. Not all from the same plant.
The header photo, that is also included in the gallery, is a new one that I processed today for you.
They are such good flowers to photograph. I like them on their own, but I also like showing that they like to be in groups. Do you like this flower?
I never had any luck growing them … they sure are lovely
Maybe the secret is to keep trying, I have no idea how I managed to get these, but I’m going to enjoy them while i have them. Thank you Julie.
You are right of course! I gave up too early ..
That is only something you can decide Julie, I’ve come to understand that gardening is really hard.
Beautiful! I’ve never been able to grow these so I gave up. But they are always in the park in my neighborhood.
Pat
Thank you. I have had lots of trouble with them in the past, I ended up buying the plant and so far so good. Will see how long it lasts. Good to hear you have you can photograph.
All lovely. Cameras on our phones are so convenient.
Thank you Pepper, you are right about phone cameras, convenience is definitely their strong suit.
I love Rudbeckia. Yours are lovely!
Thank you Sandy.
How can you not smile when looking at a happy little flower like this? Wonderful photos, Leanne.
That’s what I think Lois, they are a happy flower. Thank you Lois.
Beautiful Leanne, and right in your garden. I have to go to a nursery to photograph them. But then, I’m not a gardener.
Yeah, right out the front. I never used to think I was either, but I’m falling in love with it. I planted a heap of new plants this week, so I can’t wait to see how they flower. Thank you Anne.
Who doesn’t love a rudbeckia? Especially as photographed by you!
That’s what I think Margaret, the first part that is. They are wonderful to photograph, thank you.
It’s one of my favorites, a little patch of sunshine in the garden 🙂
Good description Jean, thank you. 😀
Great
Thank you.
I miss my black eyed Susan’s.
I forgot that name for them, glad you like them too Donna, thank you.
