Floral Friday – a Tulip

A simple post today for Floral Friday, just tulip to show you from the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. However, perhaps a little business first.

The Fine Art Way

I told you about this last week. This is part of the ad I am running on Facebook for it.

Working as a Fine Art Photographer is very different to working just as a photographer.

Your goals are different and the way you work is also different.

The Fine Art Way will help you do the same. You will learn about your photography, fine tune it and create really amazing images.

There will be tutorials on building your body of work. There will others on using Lightroom and Photoshop. There will be discussions on gear and what you need.

There is a lot of free stuff on the internet, but how much time do you waste trying to find it? I can help you cut through it all.

The doors for The Fine Art Way will close on Tuesday morning, after that they will not open again for at least 3 months.

The next time they do open it will cost more money, so if you want this rare opportunity to have a fine art photographer mentoring you, then you need to decide quickly.

It is USD$15 a month at this time

Floral Friday – a Tulip

Here is the tulip for you. It was one of many in a bunch. No idea how they managed to get them to grow at this time of year here in Australia. They are beautiful flowers, I hope you think so too.

  1. love photographing tulips and i think you do too 🙂 Great macro, with lovely deep colors especially in combination with the dark background.

I was wondering which lens you used for this.

    1. I do Pieter, though I don’t get to photograph them very often, unfortunately. Thank you, it was taken with the Tamron 90mm macro lens.

  2. Have taken many pictures of tulips but think that a lower viewpoint would get rid of the gap. I feel that sometimes on small sharp area also works as a fine art photo but you may not agree.

    1. I don’t have an issue with the gap Diana, I like doing them at all different angles. I have some straight on, but haven’t got them to yet.
