Not really flowers this week, but a different look in my garden. There are colours everywhere, but not from flowers.
We are now in winter, but autumn was very late this year, and the trees are still changing. Leaves are clinging to the branches and trying very hard to hang on.
I think as soon as the trees become bare, they will start sprouting new leaves for spring. Strange world we live in.
Since there is all that colour out there and no flowers, I thought I would take my macro lens outside and take some photos of what I could see. Added bonus, it had been raining, so it is all wet.
I hope you enjoy them.
Beautiful captures π love them all!
Thank you Yogini.
The autumn yellows are gorgeous! They are always so bright among the reds and browns.
Thank you Esther. They are, though the reds have been amazing too.
Yes, the autumn reds are so bright and deep too!
I like the reds more and tend to go for them, but there is a big tree outside my living room and it goes from yellow to red leaves and it has been spectacular to watch this year. I love it.
All those colors just waiting to dazzle when autumn rolls around!
Exactly, it is so lovely.
Beautiful colors!
Thank you Nora.
Wonderful leaves Leanne π
Thank you Brian. π
what beautiful fall colors
Thank you Beth, it has been lovely this year.
I love autumn colors, Leanne. You are cooling down and we are heating up here as summer sets in.
They are stunning, I had to plant trees that would change colour. Yeah, we are really cooling down now, I hope your summer doesn’t get too hot Sandy, thank you.
Beautiful. The fall colors are my favorite color palette π
They are beautiful palette, I have to agree, like sunsets. Thank you Jean. π
Nice idea and well done. ππ. I hope to remember this, when I get shooting leaves, no matter how pretty they actually look it all turns out very boring π₯Ή
Thank you Ted. I think the rain really helped. I always think rain helps saturate colours. Get the hose out. lol
π. In the past up north I have seen people with a spray bottle in public rose gardens. A great idea that I promptly forgot.
hahaha, I’ve done that in my garden, but never thought to take one with me when I go elsewhere. lol. It is nice trick, or just water the garden.
Beautiful colors Leanne! I think we’ll have a green summer here because of all the rain we got.
Thank you Anne.
So pretty! Now I cannot wait until fall to go out and snap photos of leaves. Summer here and all the green is not as pretty as the color you photographed.
Thank you Lois, yeah, the colours are almost gone now, but hoping to do one more post with them. Something a bit different. I have to admit I think the rain helped a lot with the images in this post.
