Floral Friday – Autumnal colours in my garden

Not really flowers this week, but a different look in my garden. There are colours everywhere, but not from flowers.

We are now in winter, but autumn was very late this year, and the trees are still changing. Leaves are clinging to the branches and trying very hard to hang on.

I think as soon as the trees become bare, they will start sprouting new leaves for spring. Strange world we live in.

Since there is all that colour out there and no flowers, I thought I would take my macro lens outside and take some photos of what I could see. Added bonus, it had been raining, so it is all wet.

I hope you enjoy them.

    1. I like the reds more and tend to go for them, but there is a big tree outside my living room and it goes from yellow to red leaves and it has been spectacular to watch this year. I love it.

    1. They are stunning, I had to plant trees that would change colour. Yeah, we are really cooling down now, I hope your summer doesn’t get too hot Sandy, thank you.

    1. hahaha, I’ve done that in my garden, but never thought to take one with me when I go elsewhere. lol. It is nice trick, or just water the garden.

  1. So pretty! Now I cannot wait until fall to go out and snap photos of leaves. Summer here and all the green is not as pretty as the color you photographed.

    1. Thank you Lois, yeah, the colours are almost gone now, but hoping to do one more post with them. Something a bit different. I have to admit I think the rain helped a lot with the images in this post.
