Things are really looking up in the garden right now. There have been so many new flowers and the plants are just blooming. I think all the work I’ve been doing with watering and figuring out when to and when not to is really helping. I have to admit I think I am still overwatering some things, but I will get there. I got a soil moisture metre and it tells you how much moisture is in the dirt and it is helping so much. It means I can tell when a plant needs some water.
Next week it is going to be hard as we have 3 days in a row around 40C. It is always hard to keep things alive when it is that hot. I will have to just water and water and hope they survive. The new plants I ordered have arrived, but I’m not going to plant them until at least Wednesday. Hopefully, there will be a week or so of cooler weather for them to get established. I wonder if I should just plant them in bigger pots until summer is over and protect them more.
Anyway, I went for a walk with the camera and the snips to photograph the flowers and do some dead heading as well. Good combination I thought and I might have to do that again.
One thing I am enjoying is that there is lots out there so I can really choose which ones I want to show you. So here is what I chose.
I don’t know if you notice that they are processed a little differently but I actually made an effort to use my old monitor. My husband usually uses it every day when he is working, but he has this week off, So I went in there and connected my laptop to it with my Wacom tablet. It was so nice to process photos the way I used to with the same set up. I need to find a way to do that more. We have another monitor, not as big, but it would be fine. Just have to find somewhere easy for me to use it.
Agreed!

So beautiful Leanne!
Thank you Anne.
Amazing flowers and pictures!
Thank you Joke.
What lens did you use? Whatever it is, if they make one for a 4/3 format, I want it! I went through ALL my macro lenses today and I didn’t think any of them were giving me what I wanted.
I used the Fujifilm 80mm macro lens Marilyn. I have to admit a lot of what you see here is done in post. Thank you.
Wow. Lovely on such a cold wintry day.
Thank you Margaret. In the next few days I will wish I was with you.
π And we could swap!
Oh I would like that, you can have our heatwave. ππ
