Lily from the Garden – Monochrome Madness

I did this image for the Monochrome Madness challenge over on my other blog.  I used my new extension tubes to get this image.  I have just purchased some new Kenko Extension tubes to use with my lenses in the hope of being able to do something like macro without having a macro lens.

There are nearly always different options. Of course a macro would give you a much better quality image, but I don’t have one, so extension tubes seem to be the next best thing.  To use them they go between your camera and your lens.  They increase your magnification, but there is always going to be some compensation or loss of quality.  I am sure a macro would produce a much sharper image.  I hope to find out one day.

It may come to a point with the Monochrome Madness Challenge that it may have to come, at least part of it, onto this blog.  I don’t know if it will happen, or when, but I am excited to get some of it on here.
