Merry Christmas everyone

It is that time of the year again. I wish I could say I was prepared, but now that it is Christmas morning I realise I wasn’t. I mean I had all the shopping for presents done ages ago, which is so unlike me. I was determined to not go out and do any shopping so it was all bought online.

It has been another tough year and I know many people have suffered because of it. My husband and I have been fortunate enough that he can work from home and we have been happy to stay here. I love being home so all the lockdowns have not been a hardship for me. As I said, we are fortunate in that respect.

So it is Christmas again.

It is a time to reflect, but for me, it is always a time for family. It is the only day of the year that I require my daughters to be here. It is a time for us to be together and spend time with one another. Even if it is boring for them.

I really just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, or happy holidays depending on what you celebrate. I hope you are able to spend time with family and have a great day.

We are in the middle or start of a new strain, so while I would always wish you to stay safe, please be sensible too about what you do and how you do it.

I am leaving you with a picture of my Christmas Tree this year. I have to say I can’t be bothered with all the trim and such anymore, so my mother has made me a new patchwork Christmas tree wall hanging. Underneath are all the presents wrapped in either tea towels or fabric. I think it looks great.Β  Take care everyone.

Merry Christmas

  1. Merry Christmas, Leanne! It’s so hard to believe that we are in year 2 of this COVID mess. It weighs on all of us. Stay safe, and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday with your family.
