Monochrome Madness 213

Well, it has not been a great week, and while I had planned on doing some more blog posts, they just didn’t happen. I’ve been wallowing, but thank goodness I have to do Monochrome Madness 213 or you may not have heard from me for quite some time.

Apparently, we have done the theme SEASONS before, but I don’t think it matters, so we will stick with it for now.

My Image

This was taken on a recent trip to the city with the Fujifilm X-T2 camera and the XF10-24mm lens. I have really been enjoying using it with long exposure photography. It is so easy to use and move around. If only I was starting over again I might not go the DSLR. Oh well, in another life.

Monochrome Madness 213

Being part of MM

Monochrome Madness each week and if you wish to participate and submit an image here is how you do it:-

  • You must email me the image you want to include and if you have a blog or website, or somewhere else, please include the link. My email address is leanne@leannecole.com.au
  • The image size should be low res, so the largest side should be 1000 pixels or less.
  • Please insert either your name or your blogs name in the file name.
  • Remember I am on Australian time, so with GMT I am +11 hours at the moment, I publish my post on Wednesday morning.
  • Remember to include a link to your blog or website.
  • Please resize your images, it is fairly simply, you just need to go into any editing software and usually under Image you will find, resize, scale, or image size, something like that and you can resize your image there. Change the dimensions to pixels and make the longest side 1000 pixels or smaller, hit return, and for most types of software that should change the other side automatically as well. Just remember to save it with a different name so you know it is the smaller version.  If you have any problems, please contact me, I don’t mind helping out.
  • Please note you don’t have to be a WordPress blogger to be in this challenge, you can have a link to a Facebook page, a Flickr page, anywhere really, or no link.  We just want to encourage people to do monochrome images, just for the madness of it. Just to let you know also, that as soon as the challenge is published, all emails and images you have sent me are deleted from my computer.

  1. With regard to the X-T2 + 10-24, that’s what I often use – good to hear you’re impressed; the 55-200 is my go-to lens. But I don’t think its an either/or thing, I use the X-T1 and X-T2 alongside my full-frame Nikons, they each have their advantages in various situations. And Canon/Nikon are expected to release a full-frame mirrorless camera this year. Adrian 🙂

    1. I was impressed with it Adrian, it is unfortunate that the budget won’t stretch to getting one. It is going to be interesting going ahead. Thank you Adrian.

    2. I have a feeling that mirrorless cameras are the next thing. Looking at Sony’s “A” series, I think that. And, at the moment, we are in a situation where Canon and Nikon have some catching up to do. A 🙂

    3. I think you are absolutely spot on Adrian, without a doubt, I can’t think of much the mirrorless can’t do that the others can.

  2. Sorry to hear about your bad week, but hopefully all these helped take your mind from it if only for just a little bit.
