Brian from Bushboy’s World is our host this week and he has chosen Street lights by day or at night for our theme and it is up to you whether you do day or night, or both, your choice.
I think you can see that I have pretty much gone with the night ones. I like how light really shows at night. I suspect you have seen all of these before but I did convert all of them except one. The one I didn’t was the bridge, I have converted it before, however for this post I applied a preset from ON1 that I did. I have started making my owns. I do like that I can make my own presets. I suppose in Photoshop the equivalent would be Actions and you can make your own or use others. I really want to get my own library of them.
All the photos were done in ON1, though one went a bit weird and I put it in Photoshop to do a couple of things.
Here is a selection of night images and most of them are from Melbourne except for one. One of them is from New Zealand. I hope you like them.
This was a fun theme and I enjoyed finding the photos and converting them. I think Brian picked a great theme and I want to thank him for being out host this week. Go and see what he has done.

Gosh I love your edits.
I can’t even choose a favorite.
Thank you so much Dawn, nice to hear.
Great photos! I love how you use Photoshop. I started learning early in the year and soon gave up. Maybe I’ll get back to it when I have more time and developed more patience.
Your photos have personality and the night lights give the ambiance more mystery.
Thank you Esther, I have loved using Photoshop, however, these images were done with ON1, a new bit of software that I am trying out right now. It has some good features.
That is lovely to hear.

Great lights, Leanne. I struggled with this (unlike you, obviously) but for what it’s worth: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2025/05/13/not-just-a-crappy-street-lamp/
