Nice shot, but on my computer, I feel like a fraction more light (despite the dark interior of the shearing shed) would have helped viewers see a little more of the material/hessian ? over the roof trusses. But that is on my desktop computer. I’m sure all creatives, artists or photographers, might have their computer screens set on varying degrees of brightness.
Note: when I lived in South Yarra in a very dark ground floor apartment pre-2015, I noticed that many of my images were too dark and if I want to share them today, I need to adjust the brightness overall. Now, I live in a light-filled apartment, I try to do any ‘tweaks’ to my photos in morning light to replicate natural light visible outdoors.
I love Black & White (or monochrome), so I’m really enjoying viewing all yours.
Thank you Vicki, have to say I think it looks great on mine and I”m really happy with it. It is dark image, but the shearing shed was a dark building. I built up a lot of light, but in the end was happy with this.
That’s great to hear, feel free to join in anytime.
