Monochrome Wednesday – New Zealand Mountains

Monochrome Wednesday - New Zealand Mountains

I cannot lie, but I’ve been getting lots of inspiration from Instagram for Monochrome Wednesday and images of the mountains of New Zealand. So can you guess where today’s image is from?

Monochrome Wednesday – New Zealand Mountains

Well, of course, you can guess because I just told you they were mountains from New Zealand. It is true that I spend a lot of time on Instagram looking at photos. It can be so good for inspiration.

New Zealand was also a very inspiring place. It really showed me how different Australia is. It is no secret how much I love mountains. If I was a traveller I would be trying to get to more places that had them. Yosemite was incredible, but the trip was quick, so it would be nice to visit again, but for longer. The Canadian mountains would also be wonderful to see. So many mountains around the world and I will probably never stand in front of them.

Mountains can be so moody, don’t you think? I loved trying to get those moody skies to go with the images. It was even better when I managed to get some sunlight with dark cloudy skies. There is something about the contradiction of the two. Love it.

So this is my image for today. It was taken on the road between Franz Josef and Wanaka. No idea exactly where, but along the road somewhere. That also means I don’t know what the lake was, sorry. I hope you can enjoy it regardless.
