NEW ON1 Video Library

We are excited to bring you a new video viewing experience here at ON1. The new ON1 Video Library is our simple-to-use online training resource that aggregates our entire collection of tutorials. The video library is designed to help you find, discover and learn.

Beyond the video tutorials, it is also where customers can find additional assets like presets and practice files associated with each video. Customers will also be able to view both the free and ON1 Plus videos in one place. Free ON1 Plus previews will offer a glimpse inside of ON1 Plus for those interested in taking their photography and photo editing expertise to the next level.

  1. ON One Photo Raw may appear to be a well-featured product but it is fatally flawed. It uses a database that is a hidden file and cannot be backed up by normal methods. The only way is through a full disk image of your PC. Most people are not going to do that and most people who do will not have recent image backups. That means you stand to lose all your edits when the database becomes corrupt or your computer dies. If you get a new computer you would need to use Acronis to transfer a system disk image to dissimilar hardware. Most people wouldn’t work that out and it is an additional expense.

The hidden database file on your C Drive is also an issue in a different way. Many people these days have small SSDs as their C Drive. If you have many images there must be the risk that the database will fill your C Drive and the computer will no longer function.

    1. I don’t know Murray, but I guess it comes down to cost as well. A program that you can buy for under $100 is never going to be as complex or as good as photoshop.

  2. Thanks for the info, Leanne. I love that photo of yours of the solo tree. Would love to learn more about your processing on it. Did you ever do a blog post about it?

    1. Thank you Leroy, I did a video on how it was created for ON1, but not sure where they have it, I think it is part of a textures packet.
