One Four Challenge – Bits and pieces from one image Week 3

This was a fun week for the challenge and I hope you agree with me. The image turned out so differently to what I thought it would.

Before we get started, for those of you who are interested in what the One Four Challenge is, you can find out by going to this link for more information. Please take a look at Joanne’s post as well.

As this is One image that I have cropped four ways to get the four different images if you want to see what I have done so far, click these links, Week 1, and Week 2.

Like we do each week let’s start with the original image.

The Original

I decided to try cropping it at the bottom to the back part of the rock structure, London Bridge in Portsea.

Week 3 Image

Shall we look at the image?

I think this is a cool effect. Makes it look almost like a small rock on the sand, but it is huge in reality. Especially when you compare it with the original image.

It seems I might have used one of the Drone Presets for this image. I went back and I think I found the one I used, but then I also added the Match Colour and Sunflare Effects as well. That is one thing I do like about the presets in ON1: they can just be the beginning, and then you can add to them.

It is so interesting to look at, and I have to keep reminding myself that it isn’t as small as it looks there.

So we don’t have the before and after, I know I keep saying that, but I just want to remind everyone.

I do have the gallery for you with each image so far. Don’t forget you can click on an image and it will give you a bigger image and you can scroll through them. Now what to do with the last one?

  2. It is truly amazing how you can completely change the feel of your subject just by doing a big crop. This was a cool lesson, Leanne! Thanks!! Btw, your original image is incredible too. I love this cropped rock, and it has such a different feel.
