One Four Challenge November Week 4

It is the last week of Robyn’s challenge, ONE FOUR CHALLENGE – NOV WK 4, and I have my image ready for it.  I have to admit I was a bit lost with the image this week.  It is hard to come up with four different ways to do an image.  Anyway here is my image.

I don’t really know what I was going for here.  I think when I do my next image I am going to have to find a better image. I decided to try using some blur to create an effect.  I don’t know if it really works, but it was fun to see something a little different.

I am making this short, I will also include a gallery with the original and the other images, so you can see which ones I’ve done.  Robyn has also suggested that we include a poll, I would like to, but this blog won’t allow it, so no poll here.

So you can go to Captivate me and check out ONE FOUR CHALLENGE – NOV WK 4 – POLLS.. AND DECEMBER’S CHALLENGE, there will be pingbacks there so you can also see the images from other people.

  1. I like the original and the last one best Leanne – nice job. I like the texture in the monochrome version as well 🙂

  2. Absolutely!! Im sure many of us will take some of what we’ve learnt/applied and use it in other images/areas.
I always love it when we ourselves are not so sure and its received really well.
    As I said, inspired.
I love what Lore said about the contradictions in this image. The stationary trains -moving.
    Very clever artist

    1. I guess that is one of the best things about challenge like this, we all have to rethink things and push ourselves even more. It really does encourage experimentation.
It can be so amazing when you aren’t sure and then that happens, I have been a bit shocked really, I thought I would hear from everyone that they preferred a different image.
sometimes it takes seeing your image through other peoples eyes for you to understand it.
      Thank you Robyn.

  3. Wow! I like the fourth photo the best. You really captured the idea of motion and the colors really stand out, this is amazing.

  4. Leanne, these are so great! I missed the monochrome for some reason. I really like it and this week’s version too. That movement is stunning. Stops you in your tracks, like I am about to get run over!
I appreciate how far you took this image, it is really so interesting to see everyone’s take on different ideas for processing their images. I love being a part of all this creativity 🙂

    1. Thank you Carrie, I have been putting some here and some on my other blog, that is probably how you missed it Carrie. I am a little overwhelmed by the response to this image, I thought people would hate it, so it has been a wonderful surprise to see how people have reacted to it.
It is quite a thing to do, to find different ways to process the same image, it really is challenging.

  5. Leanne, I know you said you had a difficult time coming up with a fourth version, but it is by far my favorite of the four! Such an amazing feeling of movement, it speaks volumes about the venue and travel in general. This would make an incredible mural to display there! Seems to me Robyn’s challenge is a huge success in helping participants really push themselves creatively. Just wonderful!

    1. Thank you Stacy, it has been quite amazing how many people have liked it. I didn’t think it would be that well liked, guess you can never tell. Her challenge is quite interesting, as is yours, I like doing yours too, I might see if I can incorporate them together, well at least one week.

  6. Fantastic interpretation with the motion blur and lightness of the trains coming out of the darkness. My favourite. I must have missed last week’s edition – may be because it was part of your other posts.

    1. Thank you Chris. It was an interesting process, no idea how I got there, but seems it is good that I did. Yes, maybe, I know I post a lot on the other one, so maybe.

  7. Oh my, this is the best by far. The blur effect works so well, it is so contradictory, it adds sense of movement to those standing trains. I adore this, my favorite image of all four. Congratulations on such an excellent work.

  8. I love the final results, the sense of movement you have created for the train station is perfect. well at least that is my opinion.

    1. I like your opinion Janice, it is great to get a sense of movement from trains that were still. Might have to experiment with the idea some more. Thank you.
