Wow. Leanne, these are amazing. I used to work in Box Hill in the early to mid 1970s, so have never seen these office/apartment high rise buildings before. Almost every building was 1 to 3 stories high at that time.
Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean, it has changed a lot, you might need to go back and visit it again Vicki. Thank you.
These are wonderful shots. You really capture the dynamism of the architectural shapes and the play of light and shadow.
Thank you Lois. It helps when you can find great architecture to photograph.
Interesting captures, Leanne 🙂
Thank you Hammad.
I’m really drawn to black & white. Nice shots!
That’s great Julie, though I hate to say it but these are colour images, mind you I did take out a lot of the colour. Thank you
Ruh-roh!
Very nice contrasts 👏👏👏
Thank you Ted.
Wow, amazing!
Thank you Anne.
Ooh, that was a shock. Box Hill to us UK dwellers is a lovely wooded hill in the south of England, a much appreciated area of open space in gorgeous countryside easily reached from London. So opening your post on state-of-the-art architecture in an obviously urban setting was unexpected, to say the least! But exciting urban photography from you as usual, Leanne.
Yeah our Box Hill is nothing like that. It is a very urban area. Maybe once, about a hundred and fifty years ago it was like that, but not now. Many places here are named after UK towns, so you never know. Thank you so much Margaret, it was nice to do some again.
