  1. This is my favorite of this series of 12. It looks like a match head burst into a leaf. I love when I can look at something in depth for a long time and never tire of it. I have a memory in my mind from childhood that this dislodged. I was skating on my great grandmother’s pond (maybe nine years old) and the ice all crystal clear had a maple leave encased in the ice on a blue sky day. The sun had warmed the leaf and melted it into the ice then subsequently covered. That sight that day made young me stop the joyous slipping and sliding across the ice when I was in constant movement and made me stop, stare, and wonder. Your image did the same for me. Thank you.
