A few of my favourites from 2025 for Lens-Artists Challenge #379

I feel like I’ve been showing you photos that I have posted from 2025 for the last 12 days. So I went back through the over 2300 photos that I posted in the last 12 months to pick a few of my favourites.

I know after I post these, I will think of many more than I love. Oh well, that can’t be helped.

You may notice that many of these photos are flowers, or some sort of macro images. I did more of those than anything else in the year. My garden is coming into its own, and I love taking photos in it. I am always looking for new plants to grow that have flowers I can photograph.

Now the time has come in our summer to help the ones I have to survive. Summer is arriving with a big bang, and we are expecting 43°C, which I think is around 110°F, on Wednesday. So it is going to be very hot. My mother is going to get 46, that is way too hot. Hopefully, I can keep my garden alive.

So, the new year begins, and I’m looking forward to it. For those still here, I think I will be doing things a little differently. I will probably be posting a lot more macro, and I will also be cutting down on the number of images I post. I want to spend more time processing and concentrate on that a lot more. Hopefully, it will be a good year.

    1. Thankfully it was downgraded to 42 and my mum 45, but now for mum it is just going to be 46 on another day. Too hot either way. Thank you IJ, that is always good to hear.

  2. Stunning photographs, thank you for sharing.

I too love planting new plants in our garden then photographing them. Not had the same opportunity over the last 12 months. Hopefully I can remedy that this year.

    1. Thank you Ryan.
Wonderful to meet someone who likes to do the same. I hope you do get back to it this year. My garden is starting to look full and I love it.

  3. Only one of the old house or shed of my favourites is missing. Al the rest, especially the flowers are still in your favourites

  4. The flower photos are stunning. I got to tip my hat for the amazing opening image. What a view! Here’s to another beautiful year in photos.

  5. I still like the building in your feature photo Leanne. Your flowers are always beautiful and I’ve enjoyed them, and will continue doing so.

    1. Thank you Beth, time will tell with the plants, though it is only going to be 42 now, not that that makes much difference.
