I was talking to a friend the other day and we were discussing how we haven’t been to the water gardens for a couple of years and maybe it is time to go back.
They open up on Boxing Day so we were thinking of going soon after. Then the question was would my mum like to go? If she does we will go sooner rather than later. She can’t be here for too long. Where she is it gets very hot and she will need to get back to her garden to water it. We are also getting more hot weather than normal for this time of the year, well I think we are anyway. Seems the whole world is getting abnormal weather.
So I have found a selection of flowers from the water gardens taken a couple of years ago. I hope you enjoy them.
I probably won’t be posting as much over the next month. It is a busy time of the year, and I don’t know when I will post, but hopefully will aim for 3 to 4 times a week before Christmas then take a week or two off.

I love the variety Leanne
Thank you Brian.
These are beautiful! The flower colors shine in the context of the dark water. Have a wonderful Christmas break and see you in a few weeks… 🙂
Thank you Esther, the contrast can be amazing. YOu have a good one too, though I will still be around for the next couple of weeks, just not as much.
Beautiful photos, Leanne! I looked up the origins of Boxing Day, interesting history! We don’t have that here. Not a Commonwealth country…
Thank you John, hahaha I had no idea where it originated from, just that it is a public holiday and always has been. I looked it up and was surprised to see what it came from.
You’re welcome, Leanne. Maybe the States could be a good Commonwealth too.
hahaha, they could be, any country can be I think, but I suspect the US wouldn’t want to be.
These are so beautiful, Leanne. Thanks for sharing one of my favorite flowers.
I suspect you gave me the idea Sandy with your post the other day, thanks for the inspiration.
Happy to oblige.
😀 😀
The water lilies are just so amazing
Thank you Aletta, I have to say I think the same about them.
Beautiful water lilies Leanne!
Thank you Anne.
ooh, I love water gardens and the amazingly surreal flowers that bloom, in there
Are they amazing, I love going to the gardens. They are really cool. Thank you Beth.
Beautiful! Enjoy the season 🙂
Thank you Jean, and you too. Though you will still see me here for a couple of weeks.
Waterlilies always look good, and these posts ate lovely. Give yourself permission to have a Proper Blogging Break too, if that’s what you need!
I think the same Margarety, water lilies are so beautiful. Thank you, I think it will be nice to concentrate on other things this month.
Enjoy your blogging break. Merry/Happy Christmas
Thank you Matt, it is a good time to take a break.
