Floral Friday – Looking back at water lilies from past visits

I was talking to a friend the other day and we were discussing how we haven’t been to the water gardens for a couple of years and maybe it is time to go back.

They open up on Boxing Day so we were thinking of going soon after. Then the question was would my mum like to go? If she does we will go sooner rather than later. She can’t be here for too long. Where she is it gets very hot and she will need to get back to her garden to water it. We are also getting more hot weather than normal for this time of the year, well I think we are anyway. Seems the whole world is getting abnormal weather.

So I have found a selection of flowers from the water gardens taken a couple of years ago. I hope you enjoy them.

I probably won’t be posting as much over the next month. It is a busy time of the year, and I don’t know when I will post, but hopefully will aim for 3 to 4 times a week before Christmas then take a week or two off.

    1. Thank you Esther, the contrast can be amazing. YOu have a good one too, though I will still be around for the next couple of weeks, just not as much.

  1. Beautiful photos, Leanne! I looked up the origins of Boxing Day, interesting history! We don’t have that here. Not a Commonwealth country…

    1. Thank you John, hahaha I had no idea where it originated from, just that it is a public holiday and always has been. I looked it up and was surprised to see what it came from.

  2. Waterlilies always look good, and these posts ate lovely. Give yourself permission to have a Proper Blogging Break too, if that’s what you need!

    1. I think the same Margarety, water lilies are so beautiful. Thank you, I think it will be nice to concentrate on other things this month.
