Monochrome Madness #14 – Shadows and Silhouettes

We have another theme and this week Dawn from The Day After has chosen Shadows and Silhouettes. If you want to find out more about this then please take a look at her post.

It is an interesting challenge and one I really had to think about, like many of the others. Then I had to go through folder after folder trying to find both of those. It seems I have far more silhouettes than shadows. Apparently, I don’t really photograph shadows much, or if I have I can’t remember them.

I did know that I had quite a few images that I could make into silhouettes. I hope these all work.

Now I couldn’t help myself, but I wanted more shadows so I thought, hey why don’t I do my own? So you know it, I played with some AI in Photoshop.

Maybe not exactly what I was hoping for, but not bad. I am happy with them for what they are. I know they aren’t real images or photos.

So I would like to thank Dawn for being our host this week and would like you to go and visit her post on this as well. If you decide to join us then you can link to me, but it is more important that you put a link to Dawn’s post. Her blog is at the start of this post.

Participating in Monochrome Madness

If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then I can use the reader to see what you post.

You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to my monochrome madness post in your post and it leaves a link in the comment section.

Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. We have also included a list of themes that will be coming in the future so if you want to be able to plan ahead you can. They aren’t in order, but will happen. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.

Also if you would like to host one week or more, let me know.

    1. Thank you Jay, it has been a long time, good to see you are getting back to blogging. I am liking that lots of people are starting to come back to it.

  1. Your experiences with this challenge echo my own – the hunt through lots of folders, the discovery of more silhouettes than shadows! But your hunt has been very productive – I especially like that silhouetted truck you’ve chosen as your header!

    1. I’m kind of glad I wasn’t the only one Sarah. Thank you, I managed to find some. The header shot seems to be a popular one. Thank you.

  2. This is a GREAT challenge. Knee-deep as I am at the moment in grandchildren, it’s very likely I shan’t respond now. Maybe I’ll try to do so later, even though it’ll be the wrong time. I particularly like your tree images.

    1. Yeah, Dawn picked a good one. That’s okay, if you are busy then don’t worry too much about, enjoy your time with your grandchildren. Thank you Margaret.

    1. Thank you John, I thought it would be good for this. You don’t have to use AI John, I still get a kick out of what you can do with it.
