Monochrome Madness – My neighbourhood without the colour

I think the Lens-Artists challenge this week has been so good that I decided to do another post for it. I haven’t done a lot of monochrome images of Banyule Flats, but I have done a few infrared images.

I have gone through my galleries to find photos that I have done in monochrome of the area. Most of these were done quite a few years ago. Most of the infrared images are from when I first got my infrared camera back in 2017.

Take a look at Monday’s post if you missed it on the Lens Artists Challenge if you would like more information on the area.

The theme is next week and it looks like I’m your host again. I love having other people doing it and I’ve been emailing people, but I was hoping that people would come to me and want to do it.

Since it is me again Monochrome Madness #18 will be REFLECTIONS.

Participating in Monochrome Madness

If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then I can use the reader to see what you post.

You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to my monochrome madness post in your post and it leaves a link in the comment section.

Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. We have also included a list of themes that will be coming in the future so if you want to be able to plan ahead you can. They aren’t in order, but will happen. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.

Also if you would like to host one week or more, let me know.

    1. It is easy to do, I did send you an email, but if you are interested, let me know, I think all the spots are taken up this year, but maybe you could do one next year. YOu are one of the original participants, so I would like to see you host one week.

  1. Beautiful, and it’s a good theme. I’m traveling this weekend but will try to do it. Thanks Leanne!

  2. I’d say your area responds well to monochrome. It looks just as good-looking. I did volunteer a few weeks back to host a M Madness for you but as you didn’t respond, either you didn’t spot it, or you (probably rightly!) decided against it.

    1. Thank you Margaret, it can look good in monochrome. I didn’t get it Margaret, let me email you again, sorry. Hang on.

    1. That’s interesting Anne, I have always thought black and white was something of a weakness for me. I do enjoy the infrared, so that is good. Thank you Anne.

  3. So beautiful, Leanne! It looks like there is snow along the sides of the path. The sky looks fantastic too, as though on a distant planet. ❤️😊

    1. I think that is one of the things I love aobut infrared it turns the scenes into something we would never see here. I like your description John. Thank you.

    2. It was! I miss riding. The sleds have changed a lot since then, more powerful engines and the sleds look different.
