I think monochrome is really good for abstract images, especially architectural ones.
Unfortunately, I don’t always find it easy to find abstract scenes. How about you?
Here are two from a few years ago.
This is the Royal Exhibition Building reflected in the windows of the Museum.
I don’t really know where this next one was. I know it was somewhere in the Docklands.

I love too how much you filled the frame which bewilders the eye brain and hence the abstraction comes to the fore
Ps I wish Iβd seen this before – coincidentally am posting architectural abstracts for tomorrows monochrome Monday
Thank you Laura, sorry, I am a bit behind with everything at the moment. December is a busy month.
no worries Leanne – I aim to focus more seriously on B&W in 2024 so look forward to joining you
That sounds wonderful Laura, looking forward to seeing what you do.
You’ve captured exactly how I see cities. Well done! This may well be blasphemy but due to a misspent youth my old age is not so good which means I have started to explore the possibilities found within AI for creativity. Here’s a link to some monochrome madness.

If this crosses a boundary, I’ll take no offense if this is not published.
Thank you Brian. You should do what you want to do, if you want to explore AI, then you should.
Two amazing images.
Thank you so much RJ
Really cool ^^;
Thank you.
Busy juxtaposition of lines and distortions transforming the buildings.
Thank you Geoff, love distortions.
I must agree that architecture lends itself to monochrome. I love the maze you created Leanne where one can look and see something new each time.
I had fun as I guess you do as well creating images π
As a mainly nature photographer, I have tried some photos in monochrome but they don’t have the impact of buildings and man-made stuff.
Thank you Brian. I think it lends itself well to it.
I love creating images. Yeah, I think nature can be hard.
All wonderful photos, Leanne, and now you know a place that you can return to to experiment with this again. ππ»
Thank you John. Which place John?
The one you featured in your latest post.
True, it is all in my city which is so good.

I couldn’t agree more, Leanne. Wonderful photos.

Thank you Sofia.
I like well defined stuff in monochrome more than the abstracts otherwise my neurons start short-circuiting trying to make sense π.
My entry here:

I think that is the point of abstract images, to make your mind try to make sense of it. Thank you PR.
I love monochrome!
Me too.
WOW!!
Thank you Anne.
Nice π
Thank you.
