When I was in Tasmania I did a lot of infrared photography. I’ve told you this before, however one subject I loved photographing were trees. They look so good in infrared.
I have put together a selection of the images from our last day in Tassie in 2017.
I have my favourite and my husband has another one. What about you, do you have one you like more than the others.
Participating in Monochrome Madness
If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, as then I can use the reader to see what you post. Also, use the tag mid-week monochrome to catch Bren’s as well.
I’m afraid I don’t use Social Media much anymore, but maybe tag it #monochromemadness for Instagram and I will try and look. That would be brilliant.
So pretty
Thank you.
Im loving the vertical shot that has the tree next to the house with the limb cut ❤️❤️ thank you for sharing! ❤️❤️
Thank you Karina, interesting pick, though others have liked that too. Thank you for letting me know.
These are all beautiful.
Thank you Tim.
Takes me to a land that I’ve seen only in dreams! Just Stunning!❤️
I hope the trip was good, thank you.

Thank you.
I love how these are so much more detailed in monochrome, the striking images are more stricking, after being stripped of color. They are colored instead with emotion and reflection. Thank you for sharing. They are very meditative, and helped me.
Interesting Damien, I hadn’t thought about it that way. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
Anytime.
😀
Wonderful work, Leanne.
Thank you Sofia.
Really beautiful post. I enjoy taking photographs, but have not taken enough time with it. Thank you for sharing. ~Di
Thank you, it is a great hobby and you should never feel like you have to do more.
Your photography is amazing! I cannot believe my eyes when I see them. So beautiful. Thank you! 😇

Thank you.
Great shots, Leanne 👏 The white of the blossom really shines out in B&W 😃 Here’s mine: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2023/04/05/edinburgh-castle-monochrome-madness/
Thank you. The blossoms are the leaves, it is what infrared does to trees, it’s amazing, don’t you think?
I will check out yours soon.
It’s certainly a mesmerising effect 😃
I think so too, thank you.
Very good!
Thank you Sue.
Thanks got sharing this amazing image. Anita
Thank you Anita.
I like the tree in portrait, the lighting and shadows make it for me 🙂
Good to hear bushboy, mine is the header image. Thank you.
My favorite is the first image.
Do you mean the first one in the gallery or the one in the header Anne? I love the header image. Thank you.
Magnifiques, ces images en noir et blanc.
Merci beaucoup, content qu’ils te plaisent.
All of these are beautiful. I’m drawn to the house with 3 chimneys, but it’s a tough choice.
Are you shooting infrared film or have you had a digital camera converted?
Thanks,
Louie
Thank you. My husband likes that one too, I like the one in the header.
I had my D300s converted about 6 years ago,
Amazing and beautiful when captured in this mode! ❤️
Happy to see that John, thank you.
❤️
🥰
Hauntingly beautiful!
Thank you Rebecca.
