One Four Challenge – Experimenting with the stone bridge from Yosemite Extra Week

So this is the fifth Thursday for the month and I decided to do something a little different.

However, before we get started, for those of you who are interested in what the One Four Challenge is, you can find out by going to this link for more information. Please take a look at Joanne’s post as well. We would love it if others joined us.

When I was looking for the image to use for this month and after I had decided on it I realised I had processed this image once before. Most probably for a Monochrome Madness post.

It is a black and white image and would have been processed with Photoshop.

I went looking to see if I had done it in colour, but I hadn’t. I ended up loading the image into PS and then reversing the black and white settings to make it colour again.

When you do that the colour is usually over saturated, so I did bring the vibrance down a bit.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these two.

Again, I have to decide if I want to keep doing this challenge. I’m not sure that any of you really care about it. So I will have to talk to Robyn and Joanne and see what they want to do.

However, for now I’m going to leave you with all the versions that I have done of this image.

  1. Well I think this is my very favourite of the month Leanne!! It really draws me into the place.
    Loved all the others too.

As you know, I’m taking a break due to ‘much’ going on for the next while.
Even if you take a break too, the One Four will be there to come back to whenever you’re ready.. and only if you want to 🙂
I’m so glad you picked it up again and contacted me… it’s really been fun!

    1. Thank you Robyn, that’s nice to hear.

Yeah, you are taking a break, and so is Joanne, I’m going to do two more months, and then decide. I have already done all my posts for August, and have an idea for September, but if people aren’t that interested, I’m not going to keep going.
It was great getting in touch again and if nothing else would like to stay in contact.

  2. I love mirror reflections of bridges. Your composition takes it to another level too. Lovely!
