When we did Lens-Artists Challenge #343 I felt I couldn’t really do it because the last outing I had done I showed you the photos already. My decision was to show photos from a previous place that I had visited and knew I would be going back to that week.
On Friday I went back to Montsalvat in Eltham and had a great time taking photos. I took a lot, but I have just made a small selection to show you today. I think over the next few weeks I will show you more from there. I will also work on a more detailed description of the visit and just visiting there in general.
Here are some photos that are from around what they call the great hall.
I love doorway and hallway shots at old buildings! Lovely!
They are great, thank you Sharon.
Good solution for the double-dipping dilemma. I had a similar dilemma, and I found the same solution, feature another recent place. Great minds think alike. >grin<
Thank you John, it solved my problem. lol. Yes, great minds indeed.
Ooh, lots of atmosphere! How old is this place? I’m guessing not as old as it looks, assuming it’s in Australia!
There is lots of that Sarah. No not that old, it was built in 1934, or started then anyway. It is a relatively new building for here. Thanks.
They’ve done a good job of making it look much older than that!
Yeah, they really have.
Definitely worth this revisit.
Definitely, thanks Egidio.
That looks an intriguing place, and old by Australian standards.
It is Margaret, though not old for Australia, it was built in 1934, so made to look old, but isn’t. Thanks Margaret.
Ah! Deceptive indeed!
They did it well.
Beautiful photos! I’d love to wander around and take photos at this place too.
Thank you Esther. I’m sure you would love it, you have to come to Australia though.
Australia has beautiful places and I’d love to visit one day!!
We do, but we are also a long way away from most of the world sadly.
The type of place, and photographs, I love. Great.
Me too, they are great to photograph. Thank you Ted.
The photo with the four windows in the center is so pretty, but then oh! look at that pool!
That was my favourite Lois. The pool is a tease because we aren’t allowed to swim in it. lol Thank you.
a pretty place, and I love both the curved entranceways, one with the stairs and the other leading to the outside
Thank you Beth, it is an interesting place.
