Spending our last in Tasmania at Cataract Gorge

On our last day in Tasmania back in May we decided to spend the morning at Cataract Gorge in Launceston. It was a stunning sunning autumn morning.

We had sort of visited it the day before when we did the boat cruise and ended up in the gorge. I haven’t shown the photos yet, but will soon.

The park was so beautiful and there was a really nice walk you could do all around it. The walk takes you over the suspension bridge. The bridge was amazing. I love bridges like this. Can I say bridge anymore?

It was a great way to spend our last day in Tassie. Not long after this, we started the drive to Devonport to get back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for our return to Melbourne. We will be back, but not sure when.

  1. What a wonderful spot! My image of Tasmania didn’t include such dramatic sights. It’s not a place I know much about, sadly.

  2. You are funny, Leanne. I am not a fan of bridges. In a couple of the hiking parks we go to, there are suspension bridges. I have to wait until no one is on them and then I practically run across them. The fear is real!

    1. Hahaha, yeah, my friend was exactly the same, when it was just her and me she was fine, then when others walked on she had to get off quickly. Didn’t bother me much. Thank you Lois.

  3. I would love to walk on that bridge, Leanne, it’s very attractive too. The steep walls of the canyon are pretty!
