I thought I would take a short break from my Tasmanian photos and share some other photos from a trip out I had a couple of days ago.
I do have an confession, I’m kind of struggling since I got back. It is taking me a while to get back to my routine. I’ve had a few things come up too, so I’m sorry if it is taking me longer to get to things. I promise I will do my best to catch up. However, I did get a day out which was nice.
I was on my way to Marysville with the hope of seeing more rainforests and while I waited for my friend to meet me in Healesville I decided to explore the old train station.
There are some very cool old trains and carriages just sitting around. It is good that you can walk around them and see them.
I have a few of the photos that I took there.
A train just waiting for the signal to change!
Yes, or waiting for restoration. Who knows.
Thank you Geoff.
All that rust and signs of decay are a photographer’s dream! I’m glad you took the time to wander around š
So very true Sarah, I don’t know many photographers that aren’t attracted to it. Thank you, I love wandering around there. š
Great photo of abandonment and rust Leanne
Thank you Brian, love rust.
I find this very poignant — once mighty, once essential, and now by-passed and ignored, left to disintegrate. But beautiful!
Great words Penny, so apt, thank you.
Great captures Leanne. I just love old stuff!
I love old stuff too Anne, thank you.
Very cool photos!
Thank you.
I love these old trains. Such fun to explore!
I have to agree Ceci, a bit disappointing not to see any engines, but better than nothing. Thank you.
Beautiful photos. From that first photo in the gallery it seems that you are limber enough to kneel!
Thank you, I was bending down, using the screen on the back of the camera to compose my image. I cheated, lol.
These are wonderful, Leanne. I think I like your header image the best.
It’s hard getting back to it when you’ve been away, isn’t it? Take your time.
Thank you Lois, I think that is my favourite too.
I have really struggled this time, I loved the trip and I want to go back now. Thanks.
I absolutely love trains! I find them utterly fascinating, and I’ve even decorated my home with them!

I like them too, but maybe just at the station, lol. Thank you Thomas.
