Today, following on from the posts on the weekend, I thought I would show some of the photos that I have taken from the Eureka Skydeck. In case you didn’t know, the Eureka Tower has a floor near the top where you can take in the views of the city. They are quite spectacular. It is called the Eureka Skydeck, or they might have changed it to Melbourne Skydeck. I don’t know.
I have to admit I haven’t been up there in a while, and definitely not since the Australia 108 building was completed, which is now the tallest building in Melbourne. I suspect that building takes up some of the views, and you might not be able to see as much of the bay as you used to. I think I will have to take another trip up there soon.
I used to be a member, so I could go anytime I wanted, and I’m starting to think I should do that again. We used to get invitations to go up there and photograph the sunrise on some mornings. That was really amazing. I wonder if they still do that. Maybe it is time to renew my membership.
I have been through my photos, and I have a collection here for you to see. Some were taken at night, which is always great to see. Some are from some of the sunrises I’ve photographed from up there. Then there are others that were taken during the day. There might even be one or two taken at sunset, I’m not sure. My memory is not what it used to be.
I hope you enjoy the views taken from the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower.
Amazing views
Thank you, they are great from there.
Those views are fantastic! I especially liked the night shots with the traffic light trails, the reflection in #16 and that last sunset!
Thank you Sarah. The night ones seem pretty popular.
Stunning views. I love the night shots of the city but that last shot of the sunset took my breath away!
Thank you Donna, I love getting the beginning and end of the day there, it can be spectacular.
That gives great views
It really does.
The photos are spectacular! I especially love the sunset shots.
Thank you Laura, I think those are my favourites too.
My favorite is the upper right one with the longer exposure where the streets flow like rivers. Although the sunrise and sunset ones have a nice sense of mystery.
I like that description, thank you so much, I like the early morning ones I think.
Wow, you can see for miles.
Yeah, Melbourne is fairly flat, you can see the city from a long way away, thank you Sandy.
Thank you for this post.
You’re welcome and thank you too.
Oh gosh, these are wonderful, Leanne. The nighttime photos are simply dazzling!
Thank you Lois, there is something about night photography.
Wow, what amazing views
Thank you Beth.
wow, that Eureka sky deck looks a great place for photographs and I agree you really need to go back!!
Yeah, I am working on it, so many new buildins in Melbourne so it will be different, thank you Sue.
Brilliant, I look forward to seeing what it is looking like now
Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

Great city to photograph, thank you Adam.
