I have never been on the line that the Coburg station is on. I believe it is the Upfield line and is still north of the city. Where I live I am more north east from the city and this is more north. I actually don’t know how many different train lines there are. I know I’m on the Hurstbridge line, and if I catch a train from Clifton Hill into the city then I can also get on the Mernda train.
So this is another new station and the tracks have been elevated. I think for this line the tracks are elevated for the whole line, I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.
I don’t know about this station. I just think it looks too similar to the Bell Station, but maybe not as good. Interesting that both stations are on Bell Street but 3.6 km apart. Bell Street is a major road in Melbourne and if you live here or been here a few times you would know that it is a very busy street. It is one I like to avoid if I can.
Here are some of the photos.
We were delighted to see the sun when we got here, though it was very bright after all the rain. It was nice to have the sun, but still have the clouds in the sky.
This is the 5th station that I have photographed so far and I only have one more left from that day. I would like to get out to photograph more, but I don’t want to do that until after summer. Hopefully the hot weather will disappear soon.
I was thinking that after I have done all the stations, well these 6 anyway, I might post them all in one post and we can vote on which one we liked the best. What do you think?
I like the angles of your photos, Leanne
Thank you PR.
Voting would be fun.
That’s good to hear, I just have to work out how to do that now. lol. Thanks Donna.
I love these. I’m obsessed with trains!
That’s great to hear Jean, trains can be so cool. Thank you.
Beautiful and interesting.
Thank you.
I’ve been liking this series Leanne, and to see them all in one post would be a treat. Our light rail stations are not nice looking at all. Also, Sacramento County trains don’t join Placer County lines. Two separate systems with only bus transportation in between. This is why we need cars in California. Lousy public transportation.
I’m so glad to hear you like this series. It has been good to do. I’ve had these photos for almsot a year. It will be interesting to see them all together. I have heard that about public transport there, ours is pretty good, you can wait a while, but at least something will come eventually. They need to do more though. Thank you Anne.
