I’ve been driving past the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg for the last 30 years, and when they built the new emergency department, I fell in love with the shapes of the building. However, I kept driving past it, but last December, I finally got my act together to take some photos of it.
The sun was too bright, and I should have known better. I think I knew when I was taking the photos that I wouldn’t like them. Still, I wanted to play around with one, so I have this to show you.
It isn’t great, and I am determined to go back and take more photos. I will, however, wait for better weather.
I don’t know, I just hate taking photos in summer. I don’t like the harsh, bright areas, and then there are the harsh shadows. The images just end up so contrasty that it is hard to do anything with them. I will have to wait for autumn, I think. Or maybe winter will be better.
