Often when I have gone away in the past I have blogged each day about where I went and what I did. Well, every trip except my last one to Central Australia.
It can be a lot of work, but it can also be great fun sharing what I’m doing and where I’m going. So my question to you and everyone else who reads this blog is, would you like me to do that again?
I can try and blog each day, but some days you might just get one photo and a brief description. I’ll only be gone for 12 days, but responding to comments might not be easy. I will get to them but it might take time.
So my question is do you want me to just schedule a heap of posts while I’m gone or would you like me to do a travel diary of the trip?
I have a gallery of images for you that were all taken on my first trip to Tasmania in 2016. We have Cradle Mountain and Queenstown. We are going back to both places but will be spending a lot more time at them this time. I’m looking forward to seeing both and seeing what I can get.
Hello! I’m new to your blog, but I’m really excited about the idea of following your travel diary from Tasmania. The photos from your first trip look stunning! Enjoy your journey, and I can’t wait to see your updates.
Thank you, I’m looking forward to sharing my trip.
Tasmania looks beautiful, but kinda lonely i think
That is just the way I photographed it, there are many people there. Thank you Lewis.
Everywhere is good to blog for me. It depends how I feel that day since I canβt control when the right time will be for many good ideas
Sounds fair enough, I’m hoping I can get some done when I’m away, even if it is just one photo. Thank you.
Really Interesting blog post Leanne. I can see how passionate you are about Photography. Indeed you can blog for two days and in your niche as a “PHOTOGRAPHER”πΈπ· you can find enriching and enchanting forests or locations to shoot and document about in your blog. People in 2024 think blogging is dead but it is not. It needs us to prove to them that with time and being keen on writing if you love writing, you can make your blog stand out amid trending platforms such as Vlogging and Podcasting that enable men and women to express themselvesππ
I am wondering how many people are going to come back to blogging when they see what a mess social media is. I love this community so much more. Thank you so much, I will be posting while I’m away, I have some idea of what I might do, but will share it all soon.
A trip/vacation is just that. Relax, enjoy yourself, if you are bored and have a good photo, write something. Whenever I go away, blogging is low on the list. My followers wonβt go away if I am gone for 2 weeks. Also, I always find it amusing when someone tells us they are leaving, wontβ hear from them and THEN they are posting every day. LOL. We ALL need to learn to unwind and enjoy our surroundings. Itβs freeing to clear our brain. Then you will have a lot to write about. My humble opinion.
Nothing wrong with your opinion, but I do like to talk about my trip, but they won’t be massive detailed posts. I have some ideas that will be quick and easy, I hope. Thank you.
My comment wasnβt about you not talking about your trip. Just about enjoying the moment and if posting every day is what makes you happy, then thatβs what you should do. Thatβs what blogging is about, itβs for our own personal happiness and meeting great people along the way. Enjoy your time away.
I didn’t take it that way, I knew what you meant and I know we all do trips how we want. I’m looking forward to sharing my trip with everyone who wants to hear about it. I will, thank you
I look forward to hearing about Tasmania. πΊ
I hope you enjoy it through my blog.
Posting on the road can be tricky to achieve. I tend to schedule posts to publish while I’m travelling. Do what works for you.
I was thinking of doing that, but I kind of like posting during the trip, even if it is just a quick one. Time will tell. To be honest I don’t know that I could schedule that many post, or I’m too lazy. lol. Thank you Carol.
I’d say do whatever is easiest for you to manage without stress. I’ve been thinking about this as well, as in September, I’ll be traveling to the upper peninsula of Michigan, where wifi is iffy at best
I know what you mean Beth, I don’t want to feel like I have to do it, but then who says the post has to be a blow by blow of my day, it could just be a photo with a I went here. So I think it will be a mix of things. Time will tell. thank you Beth.
Leanne–do what is easist for you. I don’t want posting to feel like ‘work’ for you when you are on a trip. Whatever you decide works for me.
Thank you Lois, I have some thoughts about simplifying it, so I will see how I go. No, it is never work. Sometime you might just get one photo.
I personally do not blog every day, whether on vacation or not. I like to immerse myself in my vacations. Blogging can wait until I’m back home. About these photos, what beauties they are! Queenstown Main Street is by far my favorite, but all are beautiful.
Most of my vacations are for photos, so I have no trouble with it. I still enjoy myself. I like blogging everyday because it keeps me going. I find when I don’t I lose it and end up not posting at all. It is a good routine for me that works. Though somedays the posts are not much. Queenstown is such an interesting place. Almost like a town time forgot. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Egidio.
You have your workflow cut out for you perfectly. It’s a great idea to keep things moving.
Thank you Egidio, I hope I do. Yeah, I agree, I like sharing the trip.
The most important is to enjoy your stay…. blogs about your journey can wait Leanne π
Thank you Rudi, I’ve done it before and usually do it in the evening when I can’t do much else. So I think we will see.
Travel log since I’ll never get to Tasmania. I want to see it through your lens.
I am thinking that Anne, though it might be different to what I’ve done in the past. We will see how I go. Thank you.
Tasmania looks very beautiful, Leanne. Do whatever you want of course but I think a daily post is okay if you have the time and feel like doing it. ππ¦πΊ
Thank you John, Tasmania is gorgeous. I have a few thoughts so far, and the comments here have been great. So it might be what I have done in the past, but hopefully will be something, even if only one photo.
Wonderful! π

Dear Leanne
we like to see the picture you are taking on your trip. But we don’t need pictures every day.
Happy journey

I think I will have see what my evenings are like, that is what will end up happening I think. Thank you.
Just my opinion… You are investing significant time and money to go to some fabulous locations. Don’t waste time staying indoors at the computer (unless the weather just doesn’t allow you to go outside)! Whatever you decide, enjoy the heck out of it!
I think if I do it, they will be quick posts. In some ways they become my journal too. I think I will have to see how I go. Thank you Sam.
