Getting images made into a jigsaw is great, especially if you like jigsaw puzzles. To see your images in pieces is extraordinary and something I’ve wanted to do for some time.
Images in Pieces
Last year I was approached by a company in Australia that wants to sell jigsaw puzzles with Australian images on them. I thought it was a great idea and I submitted a number of images that people can buy.
It is so weird to see your images in pieces that you then have to put together. There is also no doubt that the ones I put in will be hard to do, but I didn’t see that as a good reason not to do it.
Getting a cut
It is also nice to see that each artist there also gets a commission when their puzzles sell. It is a great way to do it really. While it is exclusive, that shouldn’t be a hindrance. Most of us know how hard it is to sell images, so then the fact that it is limited makes it easier for most of us. It is something I was really interested in.
Getting your own done
When I first started talking about the puzzles the thing I heard from a lot of people was how they wanted to get their own images done as Jigsaws and was that possible. So I asked Craig, who runs it all and this is what he said.
Yes, we can make one off jigsaws for other photographers..they would just need to forward their image and I’ll check for quality/dimensions and send them an invoice to pay before manufacturing. The prices would be the same as listed on the website + postage (standard or express)
So if it is something you would like to try, then you can contact them and get it done.
Where to find them
There is a website with all the information on it, you can find it here, Jigsaw Gallery.
I encourage you to look at all the artists that are there because they are all talented. Of course, I’m there as well and you can click here if you want to see mine.
There is also a Facebook page and an Instagram page.
Gallery
Here is a gallery with some of my images and what they look like as puzzles.
