One thing about going along the coast of Tasmania, or any coast really, is that you get to see lighthouses.
This was one we found down a dirt road and I think it is Bluff Hill Point Lighthouse, or something like that. The clouds were amazing. I took some from the other direction, but you will have to wait to see those.
Awesome lighthouse photo.
Thank you.
Those clouds are amazing!
thank you Sarah, I thought so too.
Lighthouses are amazing pieces of architecture! The stories they tell and the people who keep them. Fabulous photos!
I agree, they are amazing. It must have been a very lonely life for some of them. Of course they are all automated now. Thank you.
Yes, I agree that it must’ve been a been a lonely life. One of my favorite experiences is going inside one in San Diego. Here’s my post about it: http://singlikewildflowers.com/2019/11/06/a-photo-a-week-challenge-atmospheric-point-loma-lighthouse-san-diego/
Imagination goes wild to think what it would’ve been like to live there and how dark it gets at night. Not for the fainthearted!
So true, especially for ones that are on islands and they can’t really go outside of them. Most lighthouses in Australia were not lived it, there are nearly always cottages for the keepers close by.
This one processed beautifully, Leanne! Great work. ❤️
Thank you John, the clouds were so good.
Fabulous Leanne
Thank you Brian.
