Clifton Springs is a place that has these pylons from a pier and they are always good so it seemed like a good choice for Monochrome Madness.
I was there last week. A friend and I went and it was great to see some clouds, but not so great to see lots of sunshine. It was also very windy and my long exposures didn’t do so well. I should have known better.
After I had attempted some long exposures I ended up just walking around with the camera and taking photos. It isn’t something I do enough. It was a shame the sun was out, but you can’t have everything, or so I am learning.
While I was photographing the pylons I experimented a bit with composition, but also where I was, meaning height. This was taken very close to the ground, which I think you can tell. When I saw them all it was perhaps my favourite one, so I thought I would share it with you.
Joining in
It would be great if you would like to participate, especially if you enjoy the monochrome images. If you want to contribute there is a Facebook group, TPM Photos which you can join and share your images. Of course, if you are blogging no reason why you can’t post your own. I like this challenge and it is nice to be thinking in monochrome again.
Your low camera angle makes what could be ordinary… extraordinary
What a great thing to say Helen, thank you so much.

That is absolutely beautiful, Leanne. I love your composition and that low angle of view. And what luck with the sky – such a nice, rich look with the mix of clouds. Very beautiful work. Thank you!
