This week being a free week I thought I would share some more photos taken with the infrared camera in my local park. Everywhere you turn down there shows you something different. The walk sort of slowly follows the river along and if you kept walking you would end up in the city.
All of these, bar one, have a path in them, and paths that I walk on often.
I love the look of infrared and what it does to the landscape. I hope to experiment with it again soon.
Hopefully I will be going on a hike soon around the river, but only if it isn’t too hot. Summer has come slamming into us this year so far and it isn’t looking good for the next few months. Well let’s face it, summer hasn’t even started yet and we are already getting days around 35C. Oh well, what can you do, stay indoors and turn on the air con, that’s what.
Next Monochrome Madness Theme
Next week is Monochrome Madness #22, can you believe there are only 3 more theme Monochrome Madnesses left for the year? Our host is Margaret from From Pyrenees to Pennines and she will be doing it for the first time and has chosen the theme MUSIC. It should be interesting.
Participating in Monochrome Madness
If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then I can use the reader to see what you post.
You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to my monochrome madness post in your post and it leaves a link in the comment section.
Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. We have also included a list of themes that will be coming in the future so if you want to be able to plan ahead you can. They aren’t in order, but will happen. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.
Also if you would like to host one week or more, let me know.
Very interesting and other-worldly!
Thank you Sarah.
Very seasonal for European tastes, they are. Icy and snowy. That’s an interesting effect.
I went to the woods as well but more for detail than for landscape: https://picturesimperfectblog.com/2024/11/20/balancing-act/
Yes, I can see that Elke, I think that is what I like about infrared. Thank you.
I really enjoy your infrared images. 📷😉
That’s fantastic Donna, there will be a lot more. Thank you.

Beautiful photos.
Thank you.
Well, I can’t offer the thrill of infra-red, but you did give me an idea for my own post. Here it is: https://margaret21.com/2024/11/20/winter-trees/
Your photos were fantastic Margaret.
Ah thanks so much Leanne.
😀 😀
Infrared gives an interesting effect. I tried using it once with my SLR. I have slides somewhere
I am going through my folder that I saved for MM. This one from a few years ago

😁
Beautiful and peaceful.
Thank you Sofia.
These infrared photos are so striking. Beautiful gallery!
Thank you so much Egidio, happy you like them.
Wow, I absolutely love these photos, Leanne! I would love to spend a day seeing in infrared, so beautiful! It’s very otherworldly. ❤️😍
Thank you John, It is quite amazing, maybe you should see if you can an infrared filter for your camera, see what you can get.
I have no idea how to alter a camera to do that, Leanne.
It is a filter that fits on the end of your lens. I’ve never used one, but I have heard of people using them. I was going to send a link, but all the ones I see are for Australia.
Oh, okay, I didn’t know that Leanne, thanks!
Yeah, they are pretty amazing.
These are so pretty. Looks like tons of snow!
Thank you Lois, yeah, lots of snow, I wish, closest I will get to it here. I imagine you have the same thing.
These look like trees from a fairy tale!
I love that Margaret, thank you.
They look like winter snow scenes. Very pretty.
They do don’t they, I think that is why I love it so much. Thank you Donna.
You and your infrared camera have summer scenes looking like winter! They are beautiful.
Yeah, that is what I love about it I think, the closest I will get to snow here, lol. Thank you Anne.
