I told you how I went for a walk a week or so back in my local park with the infrared camera. I showed images from the playground but thought it would be nice to show some more.
My local park is a great place to take infrared images. Really anywhere where there are lots of trees is perfect.
I took these where I walk each day. I think you can see why I love walking here. It is a massive area and there are paths everywhere.
I decided that since this week is a non theme week for Monochrome Madness that I would show you more of the infrared images I took on that morning.
Next week I am your host for Monochrome Madness #17 and I have chosen the theme of BRIDGES. I love them and think they will be good for this.
Participating in Monochrome Madness
If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, then I can use the reader to see what you post.
You can also leave a pingback, do they still call them that? Basically, you put a link to my monochrome madness post in your post and it leaves a link in the comment section.
Don’t forget to check out the Monochrome Madness page. On this page, the next theme is announced and there is also all the information for participating. We have also included a list of themes that will be coming in the future so if you want to be able to plan ahead you can. They aren’t in order, but will happen. Please go and check it out. Click on the Monochrome Madness heading in the menu.
Also if you would like to host one week or more, let me know.
Amazing photo, Leanne! Surreal, indeed.
Thank you Amy. 😀
hello leanne,
wonderful and interesting shots you show us this week i like them very much especially the 1st, 2nd and 3rd they look like they were taken in winter.
here is my contribution, https://wp.me/pfnz9O-sT.
many greetings robert
That’s great Robert, thank you so much.
These are lovely and a little unsettling – it almost looks like snowfall under the trees, yet they are in full leaf!
As promised I’ve backtracked to last week’s bird theme and also doubled up with Becky’s squares: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/gallery-seeing-seven-birds-in-black-and-white/
I think what you described is exactly why I like them, we will never see snow in any of these scenes here because we don’t get snow. Though with what you said about the leaves on the trees, in the areas where it does snow the leaves are still on the trees. We have snow gums, and I think the snow falls straight on them. Thank you Sarah.
I’d love to see that (even though I don’t really like snow!) Our evergreens are all conifers with needles – they can look pretty with snow on them but it would be interesting to see it on leaves too 😀
I would too Sarah, it is a long drive to see snow here. I don’t know how they look, but I know there are gum trees in the mountains were it snows. Maybe look up alpine areas in Australia and the trees. I might have some photos that I took once. I don’t know.
Love thr infrared images
Thank you Richard.
John’s choice of ‘ethereal’ to describe the trees is spot on. Great stuff. I’m keeping my own shot this week very simple: and multi-tasking with SevenforSeptember: https://margaret21.com/2024/09/11/a-goat-on-top-of-the-world/
Thank you Margaret, I think that is part of the reason I love infrared.
Beautiful and surreal Art. Thank You!
Thank you Sergei.
These infrared images are a delight!
Thank you Egidio.
Beautiful images Leanne!
Thank you Anne.
I love your infrared images, Leanne! There is something ethereal about them. Imagine seeing with your eyes like this every day of your life, wow!
That’s great to hear John, thank you. I think that is what I like about them too. Not sure about seeing all the time with my own eyes, lol.
Right! What a trip! 😂😂
That’s for sure. 😂🤣
❤️❤️
I love these images! All the trees are magnificent!
Thank you Sally, I like what it does to trees.
