Monochrome Madness – Some oldies but ones I love

I am trying to learn some new software that will hopefully help me with my time-lapses so processing photos has gone by the wayside a bit.

I decided to look at my media page here and put in the word monochrome and see what images come up. There were a lot of them.

One of the problems with having taken photos for so many years is that it is always hard to work out which images I love the most. Another problem is that I forget about images that I have done in the past. I love going back over older posts to see what I can find.

Do you ever do that?

  1. Sometimes I do. It usually happens when I’m looking for something for whatever reason, but there are times when I might look to rephotograph something or if I’m looking to see what settings I used to capture something similar.

I have a vague memory of having seen the trees and wharf before. If I remember correctly, you shared them a good few years back.

    1. They are all good reason, I like the idea of rephotographing something and see how you did it before.
Yeah, I shared them quite a while a go, almost 10 years, they were from 2014. Thank you.

    1. Oh yes, very much for a reason. Thank you Penny, and thank you for saying that about the background. I like black backgrounds, actually I generally just love black.

    2. Ages back I did a street-art book for myself (Blurb template), and positioned it on black… how those images popped! but then text is harder to read, so: less text, in larger font size & preferably serif

    3. I have a couple of friends who do that, books for themselves. I know that black backgrounds can be hard to read text on, but I don’t know what to do, I have a basic font and have made it as large as I can without it looking silly. Sorry.

    1. Thank you Brian. I was just saying that I was lucky to get that shot when I did, it was destroyed soon after by a boat, completely gone.

    1. That is a special one Sofia, not long after it was taken a boat ran into it and it was completely destroyed. Lucky I got the shot when I did. Thank you.

  2. I think it’s really important to look back on your previous stuff.
Sometimes I think, “Uh, what was I thinking?!” and sometimes I find something previously overlooked.
