Shape and Design are the keywords for the challenge this week, apparently one from the past that Tina, from Travels and Trifles has decided to repeat. I guess when you think about it shape, especially, is something that is there for everything on the planet. Everything has a shape, and then there is the design of that shape, whether it is natural or made by man or something else.
I decided for my entry this week that I would look at things that you can tell what they are because of the shape and design.
Let’s start with architecture.
Besides the first image, if you have been to Melbourne or know Melbourne well, you should recognise most of these. They are very distinctive, and if you see a photo of them, you know what buildings they are straight away. The shape and design make them different. Of course, the first being the Flatiron Building from New York, one that even people who haven’t been to NYC would probably recognise.
Next, I thought the same thing about flowers. There are some flowers that nature has designed and given them a distinctive shape so that we know what they are straight away.
Melbourne has a couple of bridges that are very distinctive, and most of us, if we have seen them, know exactly which bridge is which. They are the Webb Bridge and the Seafarers Bridge.
This is a great challenge, and I really enjoyed it. I think it is great when the team goes back to older ones that some of us missed because we only started doing these recently.
