Finding videos for you can be that easy or not and today we have Cindy Sherman and Peter Eastway. Both incredible photographers, although they are like chalk and cheese.
Cindy Sherman is a photographer who has made a name for herself for photographing herself, while Peter Eastway is more a landscape photographer. They both work in different ways, though perhaps Peter does more what we would expect from a photographer.
Cindy Sherman
I’ve seen some of her work, but I’m not as familiar with it as I would like. She is an interesting photographer, though she is more an artist using the medium of photography. Fascinating too because she uses herself in her images. Though it is often hard to recognise her.
I found two videos about her. One was done in the last ten years, while the other was done a long time ago. I hope you find her interesting.
Antarctica by Peter Eastway
Peter Eastway has always been one of my biggest inspirations and I have always enjoyed his work. I wanted to find a video that was about him and his work, but unfortunately, I failed. There were conversations with him, but no real documentaries on him.
There is a great documentary on him on Netflix. The series is called Tales by Light and they featured him in the first series in the episode called Panorama. If you have Netflix it is an amazing series to watch.
So I found a video from his YouTube channel that looks at Antarctica and the imagery is incredible, I’m sure you will love it too.
That is all I have for you today. I hope you enjoy seeing these two incredible photographers.
awesome antarctica. gotta put that in my to-go list. so love your videos. thank you so much.
It would be an incredible place to visit.
Thank you for sharing Leanne. Every time I watch one of the videos you post I feel empowered to go out and play with my camera.
Thank you Mama, I think that is fantastic. I love searching for them, and I learn so much too.
I love Cindy Shermans work, having seen it numerable times in New York Cities museums and galleries. Thank you or sharing , Leanne.
I have seen some of it, but only one or two pieces. You’re welcome Cornelia, glad you liked it.
