Weekend Wanderings – Around town with the IR camera

Weekend Wanderings - Around town with the IR camera

When I was home I did a walk around some parts of mum’s town with the IR camera and thought the photos would be good for Weekend Wanderings.

Weekend Wanderings – Around town with the IR camera

Over the years that my mother has lived there, I have taken so many photos of it. It seemed like an appropriate thing to do to also capture it with the Infrared camera.

It never ceases to amaze me how the world is represented through it. I suspect that one of the reasons why I love this camera is that I never know what I will get. It is the same with long exposure photography. What I get is so different to what you see. Representing reality is never something that I’ve been interested in. Reality is not something I enjoy.

As I said the other day, I love it up there, and these old towns are amazing. They are so good to take photos of. There are so many things that are appealing to photographers. It never ceases to amaze me how the areas are really photographers delights. So many great images in every direction.

I had a lot of fun just walking around on my own with my camera. As you can imagine, there are now a lot of photos. I hope you can see why I enjoy taking photos there.

    1. Thanks for letting me know Marland, I was trying to install some plugins, they must have done something, hopefully, it is all good now.

  1. Fantastic images Leanne. I wish I had a town like that close by, I guess I do, but sometimes when you are so close to it, you also become blind to it. IR is something I think I could enjoy. I just don’t want to change one of my cameras over to it. Anyhoo, really nice images.

    1. I know what you mean Ian, though this isn’t close, about 4 hours away, but my mum is there. I really don’t get up there enough, but it is something I want to do, get up there more. Maybe the next time you get another camera you could do one of your old ones. That is pretty much what I did.
      Thank you Ian
