This afternoon a friend picked me up so we could go to Alowyn Gardens in Yarra Glen for some macro photography. I am still trying out the Samyang 100mm lens and thought it would be a great opportunity to use it.
There were a lot of flowers out, so it ended up being a quick trip, but that didn’t matter. I still got some lovely shots, have coffee and a catch up with Suzzanna.
I have only a few photos, these are some photos of the actual gardens and they were all taken with the Samyang lens. You can see how many of the plants are getting ready for winter. I did take some flowers, but I want to process them properly, so they will have to wait for another day.
I hope your weekend is going well. The sun hasn’t come out much today, but it isn’t raining, so that’s good. It is cold. I’ll be keeping warm tonight as tomorrow morning they are predicting very cold temperatures. I will have to get out all the warm gear for my long exposure workshop down at St Kilda first thing tomorrow morning. I hope you are having a great weekend.
I love your work!! You have such a great gift!! Your images always make me feel something…and the feeling is always different. A thought or a memory of my mother usually. Thank you for your work!! May God bless you.
Thank you so much, that is so lovely to hear you say and means a lot to me.
Beautiful images Leanne .. looking forward to seeing those flowers 😀
I should do some work on the flowers, I kind of took them and then put them away. Thank you Julie. 😀
Pretty, even in winter!
It really is, beautiful, thank you.
Great photos Leanne, and it certainly looks like winter is almost upon you.
Thank you John, I think it is definitely here, it was freezing today.
Beautiful garden images! Looking forward to the flower photos. 🙂
Thank you Amy, I will have to get onto those flowers.
My favourite gardens.
Mine too, I go there quite a bit, I want to organise a macro class there, but won’t happen until spring now.
Sadly I’ll be away OS. Must come along to one of your classes one day, I could use some inspiration.
That is disappointing, but I am sure there will be others. I have heard from other people who want to know if I will start teaching macro photography, so it might be time.
