A couple of weeks ago I told you about the trip I did to Lake Elizabeth, you can find the post here. We did a hike around the lake and after it we decided to head to Lorne.
After we finished the hike we got in the car and when we got to the road Google maps said to go right, but there were was a sign that said Lorne was to the left. We decided to go left.
We ended up following a long dirt road and we did often wonder if we had made a big mistake. However it was a lovely drive, I mean who doesn’t love driving through a rainforest?
While driving on these winding dirt and gravel roads we came across Frog Pond. It was a lovely pond on the side of the road. We stopped to take photos.
From the photos you can see it was very foggy as well. Atmospheric I think is a good way to describe it.
I have put together a gallery of some images from the pond, plus a couple of road shots so you can see what they were like.
Looks divine Leanne 😊
It was Julie, thank you.
Beautiful atmospheric photos!
Thank you Nora.
Hi Leanne
A romantic place with the classic romantic elements, lake and forest and a certain darkness.
All the best
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Very very true, thank you.
Atmospheric is definitely the way I would describe those scenes, the fog really adds a slight sense of mystery while not obscuring the beauty of the area 🙂
I agree Sarah. It was all working well together, thank you Sarah.
What a gloriously atmospheric place.
It was definitely that Margaret, thank you.
But did you find Lorne to the left or did the mist lead you to unknown places? 🙂🙂
We did end up in Lorne eventually. It was a great drive, we knew we would get there at some point. Thank you Marie.
Wonderful atmosphere. What was the weather like?
It looks like it would be cold, but it wasn’t very cold, but it was raining on and off all day. What you would expect in a rainforest, lol. Thank you Esther.
Yes, it does look cold! What an amazing experience to be in a rainforest and to feel the rain. Ahhhh, sounds magical!
Actually it wasn’t too cold, but it was wet. I know how amazing to be in a rainforest and it rains. It was good, though not so good for the camera.
Beautiful.
Thank you.
A photographer’s paradise, I’d say. Gorgeous photos! I’m glad you took the road less traveled.
Oh yes, absolutely Egidio, we were glad too, thank you.
Lovely. The beauty of the unexpected!
Thank you Geoff.
What a great find
It certainly was, thank you Beth.
Love the fog. It acts like a backdrop.
That is very true Sherry, it was very atmospheric. Thank you.
It looks so peaceful and lush. What a nice find.
It was that Sally, very peaceful. Thanky you.
Very moody! Glad you decided to turn left.
Thank you Lois, yeah, I think we were glad too.
Wow, what a nice detour. Loved the fog images Leanne!
Thank you Anne, we were worried, but we found our way out. The fog was great.
Wow, Leanne! The rain forest is like a place in a fairy tale! Very beautiful. 😍❤️
