I haven’t done this for years, that is put a photo through the filters in Instagram. I used to do it when I wanted to put a photo up there because I never used my good photos initially. I think when I got back from the USA I started uploading better images.
As I said I haven’t used the filters for a long time, almost ten years. I was so against them.
Now when I look at them I think they were fun and maybe I will try doing them again and see what you can get now. I wonder how much the filters have changed.
I found all of these on my phone. I keep getting messages from Google to say I have almost filled up all my available storage so I need to clear up some space. So I have been downloading photos and then deleting them from my account. Big job.
I know there is a lot here, but I hope you don’t mind.
I think the photo of the man doll is the first photo I ever put on Instagram.
Interesting shots! I do like the effect on the first photo. I have not tried them special effects on Instagram. Maybe I will check it out!
Thank you Dwight, they are weird and fun, worth playing with, but I wouldn’t use them seriously.
I like the natural look and color in a Photo.
Yeah that can be good.
Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing these. I miss that era of Instagram so much. It was about sharing and being creative back then, not followers and engagement.
That was a long time ago. I have to agree, IG drove me nuts with the I will follow you if you follow me, then if you didn’t follow back they unfollowed you. It was horrible. Hated it. Thank you.
That is definitely the most annoying thing on IG!
Absolutely.
these are a fun collection, thanks for these, just what we need right now!
Thank you Beth, that is good to hear, we have to laugh a little.
we sure do!
They have a vintage vibe to them, I think. Perhaps there is something about the saturation levels that is making me think of photographs from my childhood era.
Yeah, they do, it is sort of interesting. Could be, and the faded look definitely is like that. Thank you Laura.
I especially liked the one with dead trees along the shoreline beneath a cloud-filled sky.
That’s great, thank you so much Siobhan.
Fun collection Leanne. I especially liked your architectural shots. I tried getting on Instagram, but they must be associated with Facebook so I was denied.
Thank you Anne, yeah, FB owns it, I don’t use it anymore, well rarely, I hate what they have done with it.
Mind? I love them! The nature/landscape images are especially cool with the treatments you’ve given them.
Thank you Joanne, maybe an idea for the one four challenge.
The filters are fun! I am always conflicted in using them (internal struggle, I guess). They are fun and create a mood for photos but then another part of me wants my photos to “stand alone” without the filers. Small potatoes in the grand scheme. Thanks for sharing!
I know the feeling Bruce. I think that is why I stopped doing them, but sometimes it is fun to see what you can do with them. You’re welcome and thanks for stopping by.
