Looking at Castlemaine with colour photos

I’ve been showing you so many photos that I took in Castlemaine back in August, but most of those photos have been taken with the infrared camera. You could be excused for thinking that is all I took, but it wasn’t.

One of the things I’m enjoying with the Fujifilm cameras is that it is so easy to walk around with both of them hanging off me. It wasn’t something that I did often with the Nikon cameras because one was heavy enough. I have found that since I got the Fujifilm camera converted that I don’t mind walking around with both. I’m sure people think I’m some kind of wanker, but I don’t care, it is convenient, and I can take both colour and infrared. Best of both worlds, really.

For the most part, I used both cameras in Castlemaine, but for some, I only used the infrared. It really depended on how long we would be, as we were driving around quite a bit. We were in and out of the car. So for some, I would just grab the infrared camera and not worry about the other one.

I have to admit that I can get carried away with the infrared, but when I get the colour shots home on my computer, I wonder why I didn’t take more. However, now that I have the X-T4, I think I will use that a lot more, so hopefully I will take photos with both more often when I go out.

Here are some of the colour images that I took in Castlemaine. I processed them with ON1 and applied one of my presets to them.
