Monochrome Madness – A crooked way out

Do you remember the photo I showed you of Dragon’s Head last week? Well, today’s image is from the same day.

It was taken much later in the day and was one of the last places we took any photos. It is a place with lots of piers and this one is very crooked. It is interesting how they have done it with the bends in it.  It is a long exposure.

I like the simplicity of the image and when I saw it again I thought it would be a good image to try and do in monochrome. I am not sure how it turned out so dark, but I think I like that. I also added a slight tone to it as well.

Participating in Monochrome Madness

If you would like to participate in this challenge please post photos on your blog and use the tag Monochrome-Madness, as then I can use the reader to see what you post. Also, use the tag mid-week monochrome to catch Bren’s as well.

I’m afraid I don’t use Social Media much anymore, but maybe tag it #monochromemadness for Instagram and I will try and look. That would be brilliant.

  1. I love this image and how the pier looks almost endless. The monochrome adds to the effect even more. Very interesting shot.

  2. Such a gorgeous photo! It looks so realistic with the shadowing. I like it darker as well! Thank you for sharing 😊
