It is that time of the year and a lotus flower seemed like a good idea for Monochrome Madness this week. They are so beautiful and in monochrome also good.
The Blue Lotus Water Gardens are open again and once again I went to visit. It has become a yearly thing, and this is the third year I’ve been.
It seems to get bigger every year. This year there were definitely new areas that we hadn’t seen before. It is a great place to take photos, though it was so sunny when we were there that taking photos was really hard. I didn’t take as many as I usually do, but if I get a chance to go back on a day when it is overcast, I will be going back.
This is from one of the indoor displays. Well inside a white tent sort of thing. Really hot inside them and very humid. The flowers in them were beautiful and the structure they were in gave a wonderful diffused light.
Joining in
It would be great if you would like to participate, especially if you enjoy the monochrome images. If you want to contribute there is a Facebook group, TPM Photos which you can join and share your images. Of course, if you are blogging no reason why you can’t post your own. I like this challenge and it is nice to be thinking in monochrome again.
So pretty, Leanne!
Thank you Pam.
Crisp and Beautiful. Mocochrome gives such a different vibe to the same subject. Awesome.
Thank you, I agree it really does.
Beautiful 😍
Thank you Rexlin. 😀
Beautiful B&W image of a lotus flower, I have never tried to converge my lotus images into B&W, you inspired me to do so, thank you for sharing. Interesting that the lotus flowers bloom right now on your site of the globe, here in California, US, they bloom in July. Again , thanks for sharing.
Thank you Cornelia. It is an interesting thing to try. Many flowers work really well in monochrome. I guess that is that the magic of the world, things always happen like that. Summer here, winter there.
Indeed so it is, Leanne, thank you so much for your response. Have a great week ahead of you.
You’re welcome Cornelia, you have a good week too.
Love the bold beautiful approach 🙂
Thank you Poppytump, how are you?
All good Leanne thank you 🙂
Working my way back into WP again after some considerable time .. it’s great to see you’re still on top form here on your blog 😉
That’s great to hear. I don’t know about that, I feel like it is slipping away at times. My interests are changing, I guess I will see how it goes. Good luck with yours too.
Stunning capture
Thank you.
Beautiful light.
