This is the last week for this image in this challenge of one image 4 ways. As I said last week I struggled with this one. I guess I did last month too. I think I need to find images that I really really like, if that makes sense. I am going to play around with more images, but first let’s finish this one.
As stated previously it was an old theatre building in the town of Zeehan in Tasmania and I took the image when I was there back in May.
Let’s look at the original image.
As with all the others, I decided to use the image without the cars.
Last week I played a little with AI, but one thing I really wanted to try out was to see if it could make this building look abandoned.
I tried lots of lots of different versions with AI and in the end, decided to just finish with this one.
Take a look.
It is interesting, not sure how much I like it. I think it looks fake. Though I wouldn’t mind trying this more as AI improves and see if it gets better. Some of the attempts were so weird. It made windows different and a few other things. See if you can work out what else.
Next month I thought I might do a repeat. I did this challenge back in 2014 so I might try posting one of them next month and doing it each week like this one. I really liked the images I did before so I hope they help me with another one.
Do you want me to keep doing this?
Here is a gallery of the ones for this month. You can see the changes each week. After the gallery I will include the links to the previous weeks for the month.

Wow. AI looks like it took it a step further than just abandoned–it looks vandalised. Interesting that you can take such a pretty building and ‘age’ it like this.
That is a good point Lois, it does look vandalised. I like what you can potentially do, it is fun to play around with. Thank you Lois.
It’s sad that the building is so run down, Leanne. But is it? The image with the vehicles has the building looking good, how did you remove the vehicles?
No it isn’t John. I used AI to make it look like that, and I used it to remove the cars. Sorry to say, I know you don’t like AI, but I enjoy playing around with it. Thank you John.
That’s okay, silly! If you enjoy it then use it. 😊😊
Thank you John, I will always say when I have used it, well used it a lot.
😊😊
😊😊
I also like your original better, but appreciate the art you put into the other versions. I guess it’s whether you want reality or an artistic version.
Fair enough Anne, I need to try harder with the next image I choose. I think we have to accept that with this challenge it is not always going to be easy to show reality. Thank you Anne.
Muh as it pains me to say this, I quite like this AI version. It does indeed make the building look abandoned, and it invites curiosity. It might make a good starting point for a story. And yes, I’m interested in this Four Ways series of yours. Though as you said yourself, another kind of image might make a more satisfying challenge for you.
That is interesting Margaret, and a surprise, I really thought you wouldn’t like it. I used to have people asking if they could use an image for a story. That’s good, I think I need to explore other images more. I will see what I can do, thank you so much Margaret.
I surprised myself. I think you’re excellent at this pushing images out of their comfort zone, Leanne!
You surprised me too Margaret, lol. HOwever, happy to hear that you liked it. Thanks Margaret.
